This site has a nice layout, but is sort of confusing to navigate. They have bunches of content on DBZ (almost as much as me ^_^ LOL)

KAIs

There were originally 5 kai's, one for each direction on a compass, and a Grand Kai, who watched over all Kai's, he was the guardian of all. Then in DBZ the Z warriors find another Kai, thought to be fiction, the Supreme Kai. He was the one who watched over the Grand Kai. The supreme Kai warned the Z fighters of the terror only known as Majin Buu, and he was about to be unleashed.
